A Wine to Guard

A Wine to Guard

TIME Meritage Red 2011

This new wine is definitely worth a try. It is one of the first three wines offered by Harry McWatters and his future Time Estate Winery to be built on Black Sage Road in the South Okanagan Valley, BC Canada.

Tasting notes: This traditional blend of 60% merlot, 25% cabernet sauvignon and 15% cabernet franc clearly proves that the total of this wine is greater than the sum of its parts. It will continue to develop and age beautifully in the bottle until 2020. Classic aromas envelop the glass with red berries, black cherries and peppery nuances. Fragrant characters of rose petal and sage mingle with the darker fruit elements. This wine is rich and structured, with excellent depth and silky well-integrated tannins.

It's not pretty, especially if you can't rinse your glass with fresh water. On this hot day in Maui a few years back we used the DrinkGuard to keep the sand out of our cups and to also protect our pina coladas from the hot sun.
